They reinforce the skin microbiota, i.e. all of the micro-organisms that live on and in the human body. The microbiota is an integral part of the skin's barrier function; it helps us absorb nutrients, educates our immune system and plays a protective role.
• Field horsetail is very rich in silica which has remineralizing properties. Silica is involved in the synthesis of collagen, a major component of the skin's connective tissue, providing it with firmness and density.
Pycnogenol® is extracted from the bark of a unique species of maritime pine from a forest free of pesticides and herbicides; it contains procyanidins, bioflavonoids and organic acids. These active ingredients help fight free radicals to prevent skin aging: they act on the regulation of inflammatory reactions, to protect the skin from UV exposure, as well as on collagen regeneration.
OPCs are polyphenols found in grape seeds; they have remarkable antioxidant properties. They are effective at trapping free radicals, thus helping reduce damage associated with oxidative stress.
