Hydrogel Intense Mask

The Hydrogel Intense Mask by Prof. Dr Steinkraus is the new moisturising routine designed to soothe dehydrated, dry and stressed skin. Thanks to its gel texture, the mask is easy to apply. It instantly cools and soothes, provides intense hydration and locks this moisture into the skin thanks to valuable ingredients such as aloe vera, liquorice root extracts, the xylitol complex and short-chain hyaluronic acid. Other active ingredients, such as ectoine and panthenol, strengthen the skin barrier and stabilise the skin’s moisture balance. The hydrogel mask balances, nourishes and hydrates the skin, leading to a noticeable improvement in light reflection and a resulting healthy glow.

• The vitamins, enzymes, polysaccharides and amino acids contained in aloe vera juice have regenerative and cell-protective effects. Its wide range of uses also includes its skin-soothing and cooling after-sun effects, as well as its beneficial properties for the supportive treatment of acne, eczema and psoriasis.
• Ectoine stabilises the skin’s own protective mechanisms, promotes moisture balance and reduces the skin’s susceptibility to irritation. As classic biomimetics, they strengthen the skin barrier and have skin-protecting, regenerating, anti-inflammatory and soothing effects.
• Xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol and xylitol are moisture boosters. They work synergistically. They strengthen the skin barrier, replenish the skin’s water reserves and maximise water circulation in the epidermis.
• Panthenol soothes and promotes skin regeneration, moisturises and strengthens the skin barrier.
• Liquorice root extracts (dipotassium glycyrrhizinate) have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.
• Hyaluronic acid – particularly the short-chain variety – binds moisture even in the deeper layers of the skin.

Apply the mask to cleansed skin 2–3 times a week and leave on for 5–10 minutes. Then rinse off.

Tip for irritated skin: apply a thicker layer of the mask and leave it on overnight.
