Key ingredients:
- Shikimic Acid: Extracted from the Illicium verum (star anise) fruit and rich in amino acids and antioxidants, shikimic acid is a gentle, yet highly effective alpha hydroxy acid known for its exfoliating, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial effects.
- Polyglutamic Acid: Soybean-derived, humectant poluglutamic acid’s dual molecular weight supports its ability to soften, moisturize and firm the skin's surface while simultaneously penetrating the deeper layers of skin to significantly improve hydration.
- Azelaic Acid: Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid found in grains (wheat, rye, barley) with profound skin-soothing and brightening effects alongside gentle exfoliating and antioxidant properties. Azelaic acid is highly effective at fading discoloration, refining texture and improving congestion.
- Blueberry Seed Oil: Sustainably-sourced from juice waste and rich in omega-fatty acids, blueberry seed oil is a potent antioxidant and emollient. Blueberry seed oil also provides a natural shield against blue light and is a source pro-vitamin A, improving visible signs of aging and pigmentation.
- Trehalose, Maltose & Fructose: Trehalose, maltose and fructose create a biomimetic sugar complex that effectively enhances the skin’s water content to provide long-lasting moisturization, due to its ability to both prevent water loss and increase the skin’s water reserves.
