To prepare, place one level teaspoon of matcha (approx. 2 chasaku bamboo spoons) in a matcha bowl (chawan). Then add about 30 ml of hot water (70–80 °C) and whisk the matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a Z or W shape until creamy.
For classic matcha, fill with hot water or refine with frothed milk for a matcha latte.
