Measure the matcha: Use a chashaku (bamboo scoop) or a teaspoon to add approx. 2g of matcha to your chawan (bowl).
Add water: Pour 70–100 ml of water (max. 80°C) into the bowl. Ensure the water is not boiling hot, so the matcha does not become bitter.
Whisk: Whisk the matcha using the chasen (bamboo whisk) with rapid "W" or "M" motions until a fine, fluffy layer of foam forms.
Enjoy: Add more water or milk (and ice cubes, if wanted) and enjoy your matcha!
