- In 1752, King Frederik V of Denmark commissioned Flora Danica, instructing that all flowers and plants of the kingdom be illustrated and studied, so that knowledge of nature could be spread. It took the reign of six kings over 120 years to complete this ambitious task and it culminated in over 3200 color drawings, printed in 54 books. Flora Danica was a remarkable endeavor in the world of artistry and botanical investigation.
- Inspired by the story of Flora Danica and drawing from their rich experience, master perfumers Olivier Cresp, Nathalie Lorsson and senior perfumer Ilias Ermenidis, have created four unique fragrances that reflect modern Danish values and the extraordinary diversity of nature. They have selected precious essences such as Orris, Cardamon, Neroli, Vetiver or Oakmoss to sit at the heart of each perfume and embellished these with high quality ingredients, to give multi-faceted, distinctive, and timeless olfactive experiences.
