Ectoin Serum

Prof. Dr. Steinkraus’ barrier-stabilising and balancing Ectoin Serum with 2% ectoin provides optimal, exceptionally light skincare for all skin types. It is also ideal for caring for particularly sensitive and irritated skin. Excellent active ingredients trigger a rapid self-repair process – delivering long-lasting effects for a healthy complexion. The Ectoin Serum provides maximum hydration and, with an extra boost of light lipids, ensures visible nourishment and restoration for normal skin, but especially for stressed and sensitive skin.

• Ectoine stabilises the skin’s own protective mechanisms, promotes moisture balance, reduces the skin’s susceptibility to irritation and, as a classic biomimetic, strengthens the skin barrier whilst having regenerative, anti-inflammatory and soothing effects.
• The triple soothing complex of panthenol, allantoin and bisabolol has anti-inflammatory properties, soothes the skin and regulates the skin’s regenerative processes.
• Medium-chain triglycerides and jojoba oil promote skin suppleness and support the lipids in the stratum corneum.
• Dipotassium glycyrrhizate (liquorice root extract) has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and mildly brightening properties.
• Fermented rye extract moisturizes the skin, supports the skin barrier, and increases the moisture content of the stratum corneum by boosting NMF production. By inhibiting key factors in melanogenesis and providing mild exfoliating effects, it can reduce pigmentation spots.

After cleansing, apply a small amount to the face, neck and décolleté in the morning and evening, using circular movements, and massage in gently. Then, if required, apply further serums and finish with a face care product.
