Start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. For extensions, hold the hair below the extension and gently detangle to avoid unnecessary pulling.
For a sleek blowout: Rough-dry the hair. Work in clean sections, placing the paddle brush at the roots under the hair sections, and pull downward to the ends while directing the airflow of the dryer downward. Dry thoroughly from roots to ends.
