Matcha Whisk Chasen
The matcha whisk (chasen) is made by hand from 100% golden bamboo and consists of over 100 filigree struts. With these fine struts, the matcha tea can be effectively stirred and whisked until frothy, resulting in a pleasant and creamy matcha experience.
- The bamboo whisk is an essential tool for the traditional preparation of Matcha tea and is part of every tea ceremony. Each chasen is a handcrafted unique piece, which means there may be slight variations in shape and color – each piece is one of a kind.

After use, it is important to clean the Matcha Whisk with water only and not to use dish soap. To do this, simply hold the whisk under warm water and gently wipe it with your hands. Alternatively, you can soak the whisk in warm water for 1 minute. After that, the usual preparation of Matcha should be repeated completely without Matcha Powder to clean the whisk optimally. Now shake out the whisk over the sink and be sure to let it dry with the struts facing down. Otherwise, mold could form in the handle. Ideally, you put the whisk on the Matcha Whisk Holder "Chasen Yasume".
